(February 2005) – The National Hockey League declares the season canceled due to a hockey strike. Will there be hockey in the fall?

(1984) - Tennis star John McEnroe says every time he argues with an official, he’s striking his own little blow for the betterment of tennis. “A lot of linesmen have no idea what’s going on. When I insult one of them, I’m getting blamed, but I should be getting thanked. I’m only pointing out what everybody else knows – that these people should not be out on the court anyway,” said McEnroe.
