Circle-Vision 360 Theater

From Bette H – Mr. Pop – When I was a little girl, Disneyland had this cool theatre with circle vision. I remember seeing a movie about America: covered bridges, San Francisco and all of that. My best memory of this film is “riding” the fire truck – wow what a feel! What was the name of that attraction and do you know the name of that movie?

Mr. Pop History – I believe it was one of only six movies made specifically for Disney’s “Circle-Vision 360” and this particular one was called “America The Beautiful.” The process utilized nine screens for a full 360-degree effect. It’s long-gone.

Come back soon, as I answer, to the best of my knowledge, another one of your pop history/culture questions.
