From Erica S – Mr. Pop – I’m trying to find a TV show with Leeza Gibbons. I looked up “Funny People” on IMDB, but there’s no information. Was she the sole host? What kind of show was it? Thank you.

Mr. Pop History – You’ve come to the right place. “Funny People” debuted on July 27, 1988 on NBC. Ms. Gibbons was a co-host with Blake Clark, Scott Blakeman and Rita Rudner. The show profiled comedians, and from what I can tell, ran for a few weeks during that summer. It was not renewed. I dug out these ads from that week.
