“Blown Away”

From JG – Mr. Pop – I remember a poster or an advertisement with a guy sitting in an armchair. He was facing speakers as the music was coming at him. It was such a great picture. I think it was for a stereo or stereo speakers. Thank you.

Mr. Pop History – This is one of those ads that became quite famous. It’s called “Blown Away” and began as print ads for Maxell cassette tapes around 1979. The “blown away” campaign came to television during the MTV 1980’s years and it’s a classic all the way. In my mind – it reminds me of those early MTV years.
